About Xi'an University of Posts and Telecommunications
Xi'an University of Posts and Telecommunications (XUPT) has now become an engineering-based university which focuses on information and science technology, while jointly developing management science, economics, humanities, legal science and art. It was the only higher education institute in northwest China established by the former Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications (MPT)。XUPT, the students enrolled at the university amount to 18,000, studying 43 undergraduate majors and 47 graduate majors. XUPT is composed of 14 schools: School of Communication and Information Engineering, School of Electronic Engineering, School of Computer Science & Technology, School of Automation, School of Economics and Management, School of Management Engineering, School of Sciences, School of Foreign Languages, School of Humanities and Social Sciences, School of Digital Arts, School of National Defense, School of International Education, Graduate School , College of Higher Vocational Technology Education, Department of Physical Education, Institute of Things Internets and Integration of Informatization and Industrialization.XUPT has been actively involved with international academic exchanges and cooperation. Every year the school enrolls overseas students from Asia-Pacific area, ASEAN countries, America, Germany and other countries to study specialist areas and Chinese. The university also offers scholarships for international students who come to study in the university.
